Trying to reflect this true life form into a clay form is an absorbing task. Each animal is individually and creatively made, with deep care and attention to detail, bringing the character of the animal into the sculpture in Alisons’ unique and innovative form.
In a similar style, Alisons’ ceramic dogs carry the same individuality and personality, each with its’ own standing and temperament so skilfully crafted into the clay.
Available on commission or from various outlets, standing up to 45cm tall in frost resistant clay, these ceramic horses and dogs are equally at home indoors or out in the garden.
Handcrafted with coiled and slabbed stoneware clay, then decorated with metallic oxides and lustres, each and every horse or dog is totally unique, with their own character, expressions and a sense of quirky fun, such that no two models are quite the same.
These sculptures have travelled far and wide to join their owners, with examples now in China, United States, Australia and Notting Hill !
